Animal suicide.

600 dogs have jumped over Scotland’s Overtoun Bridge and plummeted to their deaths.
While it seems pretty creepy that thousands of dead birds are falling out of the sky, millions of dead fish are turning up, on beaches, it turns out these aren't the only bizarre mass animal deaths that have occurred over the years.

In the past years, 50 to 600 dogs have jumped over Scotland’s Overtoun Bridge and plummeted to their deaths. Five dogs jumped in under six months. The Daily Mail wrote an article featuring reports of horrified pet owners who walked their dog over the bridge, when suddenly the dog would, without warning, leap over the bridge, falling 50 ft to the rocky bottom below. Perhaps even more disturbing, there are reports of “second timers” – of the few dogs who have survived the fall, some jumped over the same bridge again.

Many theories
have circulated about why dogs react this way to the bridge. Some suggest that the dogs are deliberately committing suicide, perhaps due to depression in their owners or even a supernatural force.
Whatever the explanation may be, perhaps dog owners should simply stop walking their dogs over the Overtoun Bridge.

28 cows decided to leap off a cliff.
In the picturesque Swiss village of Lauterbrunnen, the locals are worried.
Dozens of alpine cows appear to be committing suicide by throwing themselves off a cliff near the small village in the Alps.
In the space of just three days, 28 cows and bulls have mysteriously died after they plunged hundreds of metres to rocks below where they were killed instantly.

France’s gay marriage plans spell end for mum and dad.

Sep 25, 2012

The words “mother” and “father” are set to be stripped from official documents in France, under controversial plans to redefine marriage.
The controversial move would see only the word “parents” used in identical marriage ceremonies for both heterosexual and homosexual weddings.
Francois Hollande, the French President, pledged to introduce same-sex marriage in his manifesto.

Same-sex
The draft law, which will be presented to the cabinet for approval next month, claims that “marriage is a union of two people, of different or the same gender”.
The news comes as the Westminster Government seeks to introduce same-sex marriage by 2015.
Earlier this year the Government’s own impact assessment revealed that redefining marriage would result in the terms “husband” and “wife” being removed from official forms.

Scrap
More than 600,000 people have now signed a petition, organised by the Coalition for Marriage, demanding that the Government scrap the plans.
Earlier this month a leading human rights barrister warned that introducing same-sex marriage could lead to teachers and others being forced out of their jobs.
Aidan O’Neill QC also warned that foster carers could be barred from looking after children if they say they disagree with allowing two people of the same sex to marry.

Portland Bird Population Threatened by Avian Botulism.
ByLauren Edmundson

At least 2000 birds have died from an outbreak of avian botulism in Portland, Oregon. This outbreak could reduce the area’s migratory bird population significantly. Officials are currently working to contain the outbreak.

Avian botulism is caused by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum, which is found in the soil and activated by warm temperatures. Experts believe that the warm weather combined with decomposing plant materials have led to elevated bacteria levels in the area.
Birds can be infected with avian botulism through consuming the bacteria directly or by consuming other invertebrates that are infected with the bacteria. In this outbreak, maggots have been feeding on dead birds, and other birds become infected by eating these maggots.
For this reason, experts are focusing on clean up of sick and dead birds as the primary means of prevention. Dan Moeller, Metro’s Natural Areas Land Manager, explained to Portland’s local news station, KGW, “If groups of scientists and workers aren’t out here collecting the dead materials then it can spread very quickly. And that’s what we’ve been doing ever since we found it was occurring, was to get out here as quickly as possible.”
Wetlands areas with high rates of deaths have been closed to visitors until further notice. Experts believe that cool rains will also help reduce the water temperature and stop the outbreak.
The disease affects birds’ nervous systems, causing paralysis in legs, necks, and wings, and eventual death. There are two strains that occur most commonly: type C affects waterfowl, shorebirds, and colonial wetbirds, and type E affects gulls and loons.
While human botulism does exist, avian botulism cannot be transmitted to humans.

JUNE 7, 2011 Drones.

Alex Jones: Drones the beginning of a global Skynet.

Published: 07 June, 2011 By RT News

As the US government continues to increase investment in drone technology, some fear they could soon find American skies patrolled by the cold eye of an unmanned aircraft, watching and waiting for them to step out of line.
Many contend that the proliferation of drones has instilled a video game type appeal to those who operate them. Some argue they remove humanity from conflict, making violence all the more likely. Not only does it remove the person from direct contact from their decisions, it also removes a great deal of accountability.
Radio host Alex Jones argued that drones are already being used in America and actively fly over the US population in a number of states.
“State police have them right here where I live,” he said. “I have seen state police drones fly above my house.”
Jones argued it is cheaper to use drones, and even blimps for surveillance, than traditional satellites. He claimed that for years homeland security has tethered blimps above major cities, out of eyesight, to watch and monitor city populations.
This is a Terminator style Skynet, but it’s not the machines running it,” he said. “For now it is humans piloting them like it is a video game.”
It’s the global government.” he added.
The system is a surveillance control grid owned by major banks and companies who work with government as part of a global government system to monitor the people.
This is real. Tyranny came to Russian and China in the past. It’s come to America. The whole world is in danger. We’ve been seized. This is a mayday situation. The Republic has been taken,” Jones exclaimed. “Help us.”

JUNE 7, 2011 Solar Flare.

Solar flare sparks biggest eruption ever seen on the Sun.
June 7, 2011- Enormous ejection of particles into space shocks scientists. A mushroom of cooled plasma popped and rained onto the surface of the Sun. What shocked scientists was the unusual amount of material that lofted up, expanded, and fell back down over roughly half the surface area of the Sun. The sun's 11-year cycle of activity, driven by tangled surface magnetic fields, will hit its maximum in late 2013 or early 2014. Magnetic messiness will peak around that time and prompt nasty solar storms.
"We'll probably see [extreme] flares every couple of months instead of years."
